Separation of Ilmenite from Vanadium Titanomagnetite by Combining Magnetic Separation and Flotation Processes

Vanadium titanomagnetite (VTM) is an important mineral for developing titanium resources, but the comprehensive recovery of ilmenite separation extremely poor, resulting in low-efficiency utilization resources. Here, from VTM ore studied by combining magnetic and flotation technologies. In particular, floatability mixed MOH/PG-1 collectors thoroughly investigated. The results show that a concentrate with TiO2 grade 9.90% can be separated via weak coarse particle tailing dumping. then increased to 14.32% strong floating sulfur minerals. Finally, 46.34% obtained through closed-circuit using collectors. are very efficient enhance chemical adsorption Ti4+, Fe3+, Fe2+ ions compared MOH collector, thereby increasing 3.31% 1.20%, respectively. This beneficial improving resources ores.
